PRP Skin Rejuvenation

Emcyte Pure PRP treatment (platelet rich plasma) also more commonly referred to as a vampire facial in the social media. It is a skin rejuvenation therapy that concentrates the cells found in your own blood which stimulate regeneration & therefore create anti-ageing effects & exceptional skin health & appearances.  This treatment will suit patients who are looking for a more natural approach to skin rejuvenation.

 We use a PRP system called Emcyte which is the leading PRP system in cosmetic & aesthetic medicine today .Compared to other treatments, the Emcyte ® system consistently surpasses other concentrating systems in both performance and clinical results. It provides the highest concentration of platelet cells per millilitre of blood.

Treatment Information

  • Our blood is made of a few different types of blood cells. One of these bloods cells is called platelets, when they are stimulated they release growth factors and stimulate a cascade of processes that lead to tissue repair. Regeneration of skin cells can then form new tissue such as collagen, elastin, muscle, nerves, blood vessels, assisting to restore the structure of your skin.

    A concentrated solution of platelets is what we are utilising in the Emcyte® treatment: by extracting and concentrating them, before introducing them back into your skin.

    To deliver effective rejuvenation, the platelets must be concentrated to around 5-9 times the level normally found in your blood. As well as concentrating the cells, the processing system must remove red blood cells.

    White blood cells also play an important role in skin rejuvenation -neutrophils & monocytes work to remove damaged tissue & stimulate fibroblasts to repair & regenerate the skin.

  • Initial course of 3 treatments spaced over 6-12 weeks.

    Regular maintenance treatment every 6- 12 months is ideal for the anti-ageing effects.

  • Within 7-10 days most patients notice improved hydration but optimal results usually 3 months following the 3rd treatment.

  • There will be some redness and swelling to the treatment area immediately afterwards. Bruising can occur over the subsequent few days but tends to be mild.

    Following the procedure, it is important to use SPF & avoid exposure to the sun and maintain hydration.
